Lyra's calloused paws softly contacted the earth beneath her as she ran. The wind blowing through her fur, only blowing blood farther onto her fur. She was close to her destination now, it was in sight. I would say she made it just in time, but not quite, the flowers from her back had already absorbed some of the blood, and she could feel the slight change to her bodys condition because of it. Ever heard of the suspicion that the blood within the earth can cry out? That idea is especailly true for the plant elementals. Contact with too much blood can change their flowers, but Lyra didn't have nearly enough to change her, it was merely uncomfortable. Her paws finally made contact with the river's watery bliss. Lyra immediately immersed herself and began rolling her fur and body against the mossed stones of the water. Cleanliness was close to godliness after all. When her fur was finally clean, (which didn't take long), Lyra had settled into the water, just relaxing there, allowing the plant-like parts of her body to soak in the water, not to mention the sun. Lyra's eyes glanced around curiously, in her rush she hadn't taken in to much of the area. Another wolf could have had the same idea as her, but was a lot better at camoflaguing than most. She circled in the water examining her area. Could someone be there? Or was she alone? These sort of thoughts roamed through her mind daily, for good reason.

Phoenix sighed in exhaustion and grabbed a hold of the rope with her muzzle. Suddenly she turned to Quasar, Phoenix flicked her muzzle and a sudden rush of cold air sent His fragile body flying upwards. "Quake!" she called, "Quasar's coming up grab him!" she yelped.

Quake watched as Quasar was lifted through the air. When he got close enough Quake grabbed him by the scruff carefully and pulled him out the air. After setting him down he barked down to Phoenix,"Alright.Grab the root and Ill pull you up."

Loki growled slightly as he entered Faults den. The rank scent of death hit his nose painfully, But he did not wince. "My Lord" He smirked and dipped his dark muzzle down, in greeting.

Phoenix nodded her head. She approached the root and gripped it with her bleeding muzzle. "R-ready!" She whimpered slightly, bracing herself for a hard tug.

Quake pulled the rope trying to start slowly but gained speed as he backed up farther and hoped Pheonix was keeping up with the climb.

Phoenix felt her body jerk upwards. "Ugh!" she grunted and bit harder on the root, Suddenly she saw the cavern opening spot, "Thank the gods!" She muttered. Her white body flew into the air, Phoenix let go of the root, "Ah!" she yelped and landed right onto Quake, "Oof!".

Quake grunted as she landed on his back but the lithe wolf wasn't quite heavy enough to knock him off his feet. "Sorry,"he apologized as she slid off him. "Are you okay?" He hoped she wasn't. It was bad enough Quasar was. If they run into more trouble, not only would they have one less wolf to fight , they'd get distracted trying to protect him. Or they'd have to abandon him. Quake didn't want to but if it came to that he would. Only the strongest survive.

As Quasar's eyes cracked open he saw himself lying on a rough patch of soil. His joints and bones aced and he could barley feel that spark of electricity that once coursed through his body. He saw Quake and Phoenix murmuring quietly to each other. He tried to get up but his paws would not hold there own weight he felt a huge blast of pain from were the wolf had bit him in his back leg. the blood had stopped flowing openly but if he was going to survive he would have to rest for quite awhile and he couldn't afford to leave Quake and Phoenix caring for his mistakes. He dragged himself upright as a huge gush of pain swept up in him like fire and his head pounded. He wandered off from the two wolves and set off to the place he could stay for a bit... Melody Lake.

"I-I'm fine" Phoenix smiled awkwardly. She shuffled off the male-wolf and stood up steadily, and turned her head to see Quasar limping painfully towards the forest. "Hey!" she barked to him, and trotted quickly towards him. Phoenix touched him gently with her nose, "you are in no condition to fight" she whispered to him quietly. Though she never had taken care in any wolf group that she had been in, this felt different, she felt as though she needed to take care of this new "pack"., And if she was to do that, everyone needed to make it though.

"No condition to be walking either." He walked up to their side and nudged him in the shoulder. "You should sit down." It wasn't really a suggestion more of a command but he wasn't sure if Quasar would or not. He hoped he would. It didn't take much to reopen wounds.

No one seemed to be there, it was just Lyra, and the river. She sighed delightedly, beginning to allow herself to flow along the river. If Lyra wanted a place to rest it would need to be a bit more secluded. The space under a ledge of tree roots would be delightful. She knew of some just down the river, it was kind of her current home; the roots of the tree curling up to her form, keeping her there as the river brushed forever on her fur. Lyra kept her eyes and ears ever watchful as she drifted, she didn't need anyone following her, she didn't want anyone to sneak up on her.

"N-no I can't stay here I would only slow you both down." Quasar murmured he knew it was a hollow argument by the looks on Quake and Phoenix's faces. Even though he stopped walking it didn't stop his mind from racing. He knew the caves would be to far of a walk for him if he wished to live and stopping here were more cave-ins and holes could be would be dangerous. Melody Lake was nearby but there was no shelter although the lake had pure clean water so it would be drinkable. He sat on the ground as all the weight he carried felt like a thousand pounds suddenly lifted. "Do you know of Melody Lake?" He asked Phoenix and Quake.

Quake thought for a second then replied,"I've heard of it but never been there myself. Why? You want to go there?" A lake didnt seem the ideal place for shelter but there was always plenty of food and Quake was feeling a bit famished. It would be a nice resting spot.

"If you are up to the challenge of making shelter by the lake it would be a perfect spot for now..." Quasar trailed off wondering what he would do once he got healed. He should be getting on with his own travels but leaving in the middle of what might be an important event he couldn't leave it lying there. Not getting payment as a mercenary is only second worst compared to not having the experience and recognition from other elemental wolves. As he wondered on the question he decided that he would not leave Quake nor Phoenix until he knew why those wolves from earlier had attacked them and were Lyra had gone. "Well we better start moving unless we want to encounter more trouble." He said as he got up and then he started to walk through the forest.
